Mondo is a 15’3 HH tall, dark, and handsome gelding with size and bone, weighing approximately 1250 lbs., and a great personality to match. He is a solid black all the way to the ground, stout made, and has been in our program for over two years.

 

He has extensive ranch and mountain experience, with a lot of cattle time and many miles both on and off the trail. Mondo was used all last summer on a Forest Service grazing allotment, covering big country and handling everything that comes with.

 

He lopes nicely in both directions, takes both leads, side passes, works gates, and carries a one-handed neck rein. Before coming to us, Mondo was ridden English; we have ridden him Western only, but he is capable of doing both.

 

Mondo is friendly and easy to catch—often meeting you in the pasture. He gets along well in a large herd, out in the pasture, or standing quietly in a box stall. He is easy to shoe and trim and is a great horse to have around.
