Hip # 26

Pedigree & Bloodlines
Extension
Cash is backed by a pedigree that blends foundation ranch durability, cow sense, and trainability, making him a natural fit for ranch work, roping, and all-around western use.

On the sire side, Cash is by CBS Tripps Littleman, a son of Azuls Caliente, bringing forward a lineage known for soundness, work ethic, and versatility. This side of the pedigree traces back to Azul Caballo Amigo, Plenty Ambrose, and Jaybird Hancock, lines respected for producing horses with strong minds, natural cow ability, and the kind of disposition that holds up under daily use. These bloodlines are commonly found behind dependable ranch and rope horses that are built to last and stay usable.

The dam side adds another layer of proven performance genetics. Cash is out of Black Diamond Widow, a daughter of Black To Basics, whose pedigree includes Mr San Peppy, a cornerstone sire whose influence is still heavily felt in today’s cutting, reined cow horse, and ranch horse programs. This branch of the pedigree is known for athleticism, balance, and quick learning ability, traits that clearly show in Cash’s responsiveness and willingness to work.

Further back, horses like Continental Jo Dee, Genuine As Diamonds, and Red Hot Lady Owens contribute depth with lines that emphasize trainability, durability, and good-minded offspring — the kind of genetics that consistently produce horses suitable for both competitive and everyday riding.

Cash is a solid, good-minded gelding with a great start and an even better disposition. He is friendly, personable, and truly the type that meets you at the gate and wants to be part of your day.

Under saddle, Cash has a very correct foundation. He is soft in the face, neck reins well, works nicely off your feet, and has the beginnings of a solid spin. He has been ridden both in and out of the arena, with a light start on the rope where he has tracked the dummy. He takes new experiences in stride and shows a strong willingness to learn.

On the ranch and trail side, Cash crosses water and bridges without issue, drags objects from the horn, and handles varied terrain confidently. He is sensible, attentive, and shows a level-headed attitude well beyond his age.

Cash has an exceptional disposition. He enjoys attention, has excellent ground manners, is good with his feet, and loads easily in the trailer. He is the kind that wants to be in your pocket and genuinely enjoys his job.
Despite being young, he has proven himself to be very trustworthy. Our 12-year-old daughter has ridden him extensively in the arena, including carrying a flag for drill team, and he handled it all calmly and confidently. That said, due to his age, we recommend a confident rider to continue his development.

Cash has the potential to be a horse of a lifetime for the right home — versatile, eye-catching, and enjoyable to be around. He will be missed at our place.
