Lightning is a stout, gritty ranch pony with plenty of heart and natural cow sense. While he has done well in the arena at youth Little Britches rodeo events, he truly shines out on the ranch where he is confident, capable, and hardworking.

 

He handles mountain country, desert terrain, and big cattle with ease, will go all day, and has no trouble keeping up with the big horses. Lightning has been roped on, used to handle cattle, and has packed and branded calves. He is solid through water crossings, loads easily, and is very easy to shoe. Overall, he is a low-maintenance pony that stays ready to work.

Lightning is not a beginner pony and is best suited for a confident youth or experienced rider looking for a ranch-ready pony that can work cattle, cover ground, and handle tough country.
